PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device with a differential limiting clutch mechanism and an electromagnet, capable of improving its cooling performance to cool the electromagnet and the whole device and stabilizing its differential limiting property. SOLUTION: A power transmission device 20 is fixedly connected to the front end of a rear differential gear 9, a differential limiting clutch mechanism 27, an electromagnet 29 and a servo operating mechanism 30 being assembled in a unit casing 21 and plural cooling fins 31 being formed on the outer face of the unit casing 21. The electromagnet 29 is arranged at the rear end of a casing 21 to supply oil to the electromagnet 29 and a bearing 57 with the pumping operation of a bearing 40 supporting a drive pinion 11. A clutch operating mechanism 45 which has a rotating blade 51 and viscous fluid stored in a reservoir chamber 50 is arranged at the front end of the clutch mechanism 27 so that a multiplate clutch 44 can be thrusted with a piston member 47 corresponding to a difference in rotation between an outer case 25 and a middle shaft 24 for differential limitation. |
