PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject newly identified polypeptide useful for cure of reduction in a quantity of bones (including osteoporosis), inflammatory diseases (e.g. osteoarthritis, psoriasis, asthma, allergy or the like), infectious diseases (e.g. a disease caused by HIV-1 or HIV-2) or the like. SOLUTION: This polypeptide is the polypeptide HTLAR33 comprising an amino acid sequence having at least a 70% identity to the amino acid sequence of the formula over its entire length. The polypeptide may be obtained by recombinant techniques from a polynucleotide which is obtainable from a cDNA library on mRNAs from human brain cells through EST(expressed sequence tag) analysis. |
