<p>Even in the case that an image that takes a long time to generate display image data exists in a leading part of a display order at the time to display a list of a plurality of reduced images or the like, an image display device is arranged to display other images quickly, so that user's waiting time can be reduced. The display device is provided with an image data holding unit (5) for holding coded image data, a decode processing time judging unit (4) for judging a length of a decode processing time for image data, an image decoding unit (3) for decoding the image data to generate display image data, an image display unit (6) for displaying a plurality of sequentially decoded image data, and a control unit (2) for controlling the decode and the display of the image data in accordance with a judged result of the decode processing time. When the display device displays a list of reduced images or the like, it takes a short time for the decode processing and changes a processing order to display an image by high priority for which display image data can be made out in a short time.</p> |
