STRUCTURE FOR ENDOSCOPE CURVE SECTION

A structure for an endoscope curve section, in which an outer skin tube (38) is placed along the direction of insertion of an insertion section (2) of an endoscope (1) and in which a protrusion (39) is provided at that portion of the outer skin tube (38) that is located at a gap (S) between node rings (31). The protrusion (39) of the outer skin tube (38) is adapted such that, when each node ring (31) is rotated, the protrusion (39) is deformed so as to bend outward at a portion located on the inner side of the bend of a curve section (5). This prevents the outer skin tube (38) from being pinched between node rings (31) when the curve section (5) is bent. Thus, the structure prevents the outer skin tube (38) from being pinched between node rings (31) when the curve section (5) is bent and facilitates production of the insertion section (2) of the endoscope (1).
