PURPOSE:To obtain a dye image having an excellent granular characteristic by incorporating silver halide particles contg. silver iodide into a silver halide emulsion layer, incorporating a specific magenta coupler therein and specifying the time for processing with a color developing solution to <=180sec. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material has the silver halide particles contg. >=0.5mol% silver iodide into at least one silver halide emulsion layer. The film swelling speed of the photograph constituting layer of said material is specified to <=20sec and the film thickness of the photograph constituting layer to <=25mum. The magenta coupler expressed by formula I is incorporated into at least one silver halide emulsion layer. The time for processing with the color developing solution is specified to <=180sec. In formula I, Ar denotes a phenyl group, more particularly substd. phenyl group, Yc denotes a group which is eliminated when a dye coupled with the oxidant of the color developing agent is formed, Rc denotes an acyl amino group. |
