APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING VOLUME OF DROPLET IN INKJET PRINTING SYSTEM

An apparatus for adjusting droplet amount of an inkjet printing system is provided to adjust volume of droplet discharged from a nozzle quantitatively. An apparatus for adjusting droplet amount of an inkjet printing system comprises a light source(110), a camera(130), a speed calculating unit(140) and a control unit(150). The light source periodically emits light toward droplet(50) discharged from a nozzle(121) of a head(120) of the inkjet printing system by a discharge unit(122). The camera continuously acquires images of the droplet by the light source at least more than 2 times. The speed calculating unit processes the acquired images by the camera and calculates speed of the droplet. The control unit compares the calculated droplet speed with predetermined target speed of the droplet, applies a control signal in proportion to the difference to the discharge unit, and controls discharge pressure of the discharge unit.
