A disk brake for a vehicle is provided to allow a user to conveniently use the disk brake through directly installing inner and outer plates, on which brake pads are attached, on a housing and a piston. A disk brake for a vehicle comprises a disk, a housing(10), a cylinder(20), a piston(30), a pad(40), and a pad plate(50). The piston, which is reciprocated by braking oil pressure, is housed in the cylinder. The housing is provided at inner peripheral surface thereof with a bore(12) into which the cylinder is inserted and at an opposite inner peripheral surface thereof is provided with a support portion(11) to actuate the pad plate. The support portion is bent downward in a direction of the housing to enclose the pad plate and provided at the inner peripheral surface thereof with a groove(11a) having a certain depth.
