PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device which can constantly impart a preload to a load sensor by a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A brake device 1 includes: a cylindrical brake cylinder 13; a brake piston 17 which is surrounded by the brake cylinder 13 at its external periphery 17a; a ball screw device 22 which converts a rotational motion from an electric motor 20 into a linear motion, and transmits it to the brake piston 17; and a load sensor 44 which is arranged so as to receive an axial load which progresses toward a second axial direction X2. The load sensor 44 detects an axial load acting on a screw shaft 28, and progressing toward the second axial direction X2 by receiving a reaction force from a first pad 6. An elastic body 37 which elastically presses an annular step part 15c and a flange 41 so as to be separable from each other along an axial direction X is interposed between the annular step part 15c of the brake cylinder 13 and the flange 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
