PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup by which emission power of a light source for recording information can be stably controlled. SOLUTION: This pickup has two light sources of a semiconductor laser 1 being a light source for recording and a semiconductor laser 2 being a light source for reproducing, light beams from these semiconductor lasers 1, 2 are made incident on a prism member 7, while a laser beam from the semiconductor laser 1 reflected by an incident surface 11e on which a laser beam from the semiconductor laser 1 of this prism member 7 is made incident on the tilt is made incident on a forward monitor 33 and emission power of the semiconductor laser 1 is monitored. |
