An imaging apparatus includes an imaging optical system configured to form an optical image of an object, a first imaging sensor device, a second imaging sensor device having an integration degree smaller than that of the first imaging sensor, and a controller configured to execute a first imaging mode in which the first imaging sensor device is used for image pickup of the object while the first imaging sensor device is located at an image plane of the imaging optical system, and a second imaging mode in which the second imaging sensor device is used for image pickup of the object while the second imaging sensor device is located at the image plane of the imaging optical system.

1. An imaging apparatus comprising:
an illumination optical system configured to illuminate an object; an imaging optical system configured to form an optical image of the object; a first imaging sensor device; a second imaging sensor device with a smaller integration degree than that of the first imaging sensor device; and a controller, wherein each of the imaging optical system and the illumination optical system has a light blocking portion, wherein the controller is configured to:
execute a first imaging mode in which the first imaging sensor device is used to take an image of the object while the first imaging sensor device is located at an image plane of the imaging optical system;execute a second imaging mode in which the second imaging sensor device is used to take an image of the object while the second imaging sensor device is located at the image plane of the imaging optical system; andchange a numerical aperture of at least one of the imaging optical system or the illumination optical system by controlling the respective light blocking portion.
