The invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle, in particular utility vehicle, which has a hybrid drive device (2), with an internal combustion engine (3) to which a fuel tank (8) is assigned, wherein a filling level of the fuel tank (8) is monitored, and with at least one further drive machine (4) to which an energy store (10) is assigned. There is provision that if it is detected that the filling level undershoots a predefinable minimum filling level, the motor vehicle is driven by means of the further drive machine (4) until the energy made available by the energy store (10) is consumed, and virtually consumed. |
