PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism for a photosensitive body to facilitate mounting and demounting of the photosensitive body and prevent the occurrence of play during drive. SOLUTION: A photosensitive body drive device is provided with a shaft joint 10 comprising a first engaging member 11 fixed at the end of a drive shaft rotated by a drive source; and a second engaging member 12 fixed at a photosensitive body shaft end. A variable body formed of a shape memory alloy to store a shape brought into a given engaging state at a given temperature is formed at either the first engaging member 11 or the second engaging member 12. A body to be engaged is formed in a manner to have a shape engaged with either, having a varying body brought into an engaging state, the first or the second engaging member 11 or 12 is engaged with the other, where a varying body is not formed, of the first and second engaging bodies 11 and 12. |
