The objective of the present invention is to provide a rubber composition which, without reducing workability, exhibits ab excellent low loss factor and wear resistance. In order to achieve this objective, the present invention is characterized in that: said rubber composition contains a rubber component having a diene polymer, silica and a glycerin fatty acid ester composition; said diene polymer has at least 3 modified functional groups that may have mutual interaction with silica only in the region corresponding to 1/4 of the total chain length from the end, and has monomer structure of diene polymer between at least one pair of said modified functional groups; said glycerin fatty acid ester composition has a fatty acid carbon number from 8 to 28, has a glycerin fatty acid monoester and a glycerin fatty acid diester, the content of said glycerin fatty acid ester composition being 0.5 to 15 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. |
