<p>Lance is used for burning holes into concrete, stone, cast iron and other difficult materials. It has a circular outer tube into which is pressed an elliptical tube. Into the elliptical tube is pressed a solid serrated metallic insert rod. Oxygen is pumped through the clearances to the lance tip. Lance components are made from steel. The heat generated on burning the lance tip is used for cutting.</p> |
