<p>Zinc chlorinated dithiobenzoates of formula (I) (where n is integer 1-5) are pref. prepd. by reacting chlorinated benzotrichloride of formula: with sodium sulphide in an alcoholic solvent and reacting the product with an appropriate zinc salt in a water and/or alcohol soln. Esp. (I) is used with an inert carrier, in the form of a dust wettable powder, emulsifiable concentrate, oil spray, granules, or aerosol as a fungicidal compsn for use against Alternaria mall and have a micro-biocidal action against Alternaria kikuchiana, Pyricularia oryzae and Cochliobolus miyabeanus.</p> |
