SOLUTION: This image preparing device is constituted so that the visual line direction of a virtual visual line E at the time of observing the external surface MS of a part M concerned included in volume data is set up always to a center point ma, a shadow generated in the external surface MS at the time of illuminating the external surface MS by illumination light directed in the same direction as the visual line direction is obtained while allowing a virtual visual line E to run, and one plane-like developed image Mp1 having the external surface MS thus obtained and a suitably shadowed stereoscopic shape, the whole external surface MS of the port M concerned can be grasped at a glance. |
