The sensor switching panel, is designed for use in domestic equipment such as cookers. The design ensures that a wanted setting is not inadvertently erased or altered. An additional sensor switch is provided that prevents further inputs being made via the main sensor switches and is located along one edge of the panel or all around the panel or around individual sensor switches. This ensures that e.g. any child interfering with the controls will inevitably touch the outer blocking sensor first and thereby disable the actual control sensor or sensors.
