Appts. for mixing liquid under pressure comprises a container having an impeller driven by a shaft extending through a seal arrangement in the container bottom. The seal arrangement comprises two seals spaced axially on the shaft to define a lubricant filled space which communicates via a one-way valve with a lubricant storage container which itself communicates with the upper pressurised interior of the mixing container. Used esp. for mixing adhesive and glues. Gives good sealing and lubrication under all operating pressures.
