PURPOSE:To improve serviceability by displaying whether incoming main is present or not at a subscriber terminal. CONSTITUTION:When a mail is sent to the subscriber terminal T, the incoming mail is stored in the main box in a mail service equipment MSE corresponding to the terminal T. Then, the arrival of the incoming mail is reported to the controller CPU of a subscriber circuit LC through a control line (b) to turn on the lamp, etc., of the display device PL of the terminal T. Consequently, the terminal T requires no inquiring to an exchange side about whether there is mail addressed to the terminal, and the exchange side notices the terminating subscriber about the fruitless prolongation of occupation time of the mail box, improving the serviceability. |
