PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic applicable smoothly and easily to the hair and giving finished hair which has moist feeling and can be combed esily, by using a mono [N-(long chain acryl)] basic amoino acid lower alkyl ester salt and a specific higher alcohol as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair cosmetic contains (A) a mono [N-(long chain acyl)] basic amino acid lower alkyl ester salt and (B) (i) a mixture of higher alcohols comprising a mixture of cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol at a weight ratio of 2/8-8/2, preferably 4/6-6/4 or (ii) a 10-50C secondary alcohol, e.g. tetradecan-2-ol. The weight ratio of (A/B) is 1/9-9/1, preferably 15/85-80/20, and the sum of the components (A) and (B) in the cosmetic is 0.1-20wt%, preferably 0.1-10wt%. The basic amino acid component of (A) is e.g. ornithine, lysine, etc., and the acyl group is 8-22C natural or synthetic fatty acid residue. |
