PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid which can keep sufficient sealing of an opening of a sample collection container against environments and can repetitively open/close the opening. SOLUTION: A lid 10 includes an approximately spherical ball 20 with a path provided through, and the ball 20 includes an axis which is to be a center which the ball 20 can rotate with respect to between an open position and a closed position. The lid further includes a socket 40 attached to an opening 110 of the collection container, wherein the socket 40 includes an internal face for receiving the ball 20, the internal face has an axis support for receiving the axis of the ball 20 and fits to rotation of the ball 20 inside. The path of the ball 20 is aligned with the opening of a collection tube 100 when the ball 20 is at an open position and is not aligned with the opening of the container when the ball 20 is at a close position. The socket 40 includes a receive for the ball 20, also keeps the ball 20 in the ball receive, and also includes an elastic elastomer seal for providing a liquid-tight seal between the ball 20 and the opening of the collection container. |
