PURPOSE:To prevent the collision of a movable mass onto a vibration body by operating a brake installed between the movable mass and the vibration body in emergency such as earthquake, in a controller for controlling the vibration generated on the vibration body by the movement of the movable mass installed onto the vibration body. CONSTITUTION:When vibration is generated on a vibration body 1 which is vibrated by receiving an external force such as a structure and a tower, the vibration is detected by an acceleration speed meter 7. When the detected vibration is smaller than a set value, a controller 8 transmits an instruction for controlling the vibration into an actuator 3, and controls a movable mass 4 fixed at the top edge of a movable core 5. While, when the detected vibration is larger than the set value, a brake 9 is operated by a level judging device 10, and the relative speed between the movable mass 4 and the vibration body 1 is reduced. Therefore, in the ordinary time, the vibration of the vibration body 1 can be effectively reduced, and in emergency such as earthquake, the danger of collision of the movable mass 4 onto the vibration body 1 can be avoided. |
