The invention relates to a lens unit for light transmission, which is arranged between a camera housing and an interchangeable lens unit, having an image-forming system for projecting an image on a film surface in the camera housing by means of the light passing from the object to be photographed through the interchangeable lens unit, having a light-dividing device which is arranged on the optical axis of the image-forming optical system, and having a photodetector which is arranged in the optical path split off by the light dividing device, in which in accordance with the invention at least a portion of the optical system forming the image and of the light-dividing device is arranged for focusing purposes such that it can move along the optical axis, it being possible to achieve in this way that the lens unit has a simple and compact design and is suitably constructed for focusing purposes, without the need for the corresponding camera housing and the interchangeable lenses, to have a special configuration. <IMAGE>
