PURPOSE:To collate even a photographic paper, which is printed with a printing device which is not provided with the picture frame discrimination code giving function, with picture frames of an original film by reading frame numbers, which are recorded together with exposure correction information at the time of printing, from a storage medium and printing them on the photographic paper. CONSTITUTION:Extents of exposure correction corresponding to respective frames of a negative film 54 are stored on a paper tape 52, and frame numbers displayed on the negative film 54 with a bar code 56 are read by a bar code reader and are stored on the paper type 52. When a photographic paper carrying driving device is operated to carry a photographic paper 36 in the direction of an arrow C, the paper tape 52 is also sent to a paper tape reading part 16, and carrying of the photographic paper 36 and the paper tape 52 is stopped when a detector 46 detects a cut mark displayed on the photographic paper 36. Next, the paper tape reading part 16 is operated to read the preliminarily stored frame number from the paper tape 52, and a printing part 22 is operated to print this frame number on the rear face of the photographic paper 36. Thus, even the photographic paper printed by the printer which has not the frame number display function can be collated with the film.
