<p>The invention relates to a complement inhibitory factor protein, characterised in that: - it is present, more especially, in the serum and plasma of pregnant women or of women subjected to ovarian stimulation for the purpose of an artificial fertilisation carried out in vitro or in the fallopian tubes; - it has a molecular weight, determined on SDS-polyacrylamide gel, of 84,000 +/- 2,000; - it possesses a constant and very pronounced dose-dependent inhibitory effect on cell proliferation.</p> |
