摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-transfer recording material which can keep various performances such as image retention property and sensitivity which are essential for a post-chelate coloring matter, and an image forming method using the recording material in an image forming method using a post-chelate technique. SOLUTION: For an image receiving sheet which is superposed with an ink sheet containing a coloring matter, and wherein an image receiving layer which can receive the coloring matter of the ink sheet by heating an image pattern is provided, the image receiving layer is constituted of a butyral resin wherein the content of at least a metallic ion containing compound, and unsaponified vinyl acetate group is 10 mol.% or less, and also, the degree of butylating is 75 mol.% or higher. For this ink sheet 1 for thermal-transfer recording, coloring matter containing regions 1Y, 1M, 1C containing the metallic ion containing compound and a chelatable coloring matter, and a region (a) which substantially does not contain the coloring matter, are repeatedly formed. Also, for this image forming method, an image receiving sheet and the ink sheet 1 are superposed, and the total surface of a thermal-transfer recording material where an image has been formed by heating an image pattern, is further subjected to heating-treatment.
