PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide infrared reception equipment and a signal processing method therefor with which probability of the occurrence of communication errors or the like is decreased by transforming to a signal in any possible form an electric signal which is turned into a normally unrealizable form without being converted to a signal with a pulse width determined at the time of photoelectric conversion of an optical pulse in infrared communication. SOLUTION: This equipment has a photoelectric converting part 11 for converting an optical signal of received infrared rays to an electric signal, a filtering part 12 for transforming the electric signal into a determined pattern when the electric signal photoelectric-converted by the converting part 11 is not compatible with the determined pattern, and a decoder 13 for recognizing received data by analyzing the format determined by IrDA standards. |
