SUBSTANCE: material, containing packed mixture of granules and fibers, preferably granulated activated carbon and activated carbon fibers, is used as tap water cleaning filter. Activated carbon fibers fill space between activated carbon granules. Sizes and relative amounts of granules and fibers are chosen to accelerate water cleaning as compared to cleaning of water with conventional filters.
