ROLLING METHOD FOR HIGH BRIGHTNESS STAINLESS STEEL FOIL

PURPOSE:To obtain the stainless steel foil having excellent brightness by using a lubricating oil added with specific ester and butyl stearate and specifying the surface roughness of rolls, rolling speed and draft. CONSTITUTION:The mixed long-chain dibasic acid isobutyl glycol diester expressed by formula I or the mixed cyclic dibasic acid isobutyl glycol diester expressed by formula II or the dimer acid isobutyl glyco ester expressed by formula III or added at >=5wt.% into the base oil consisting of a mineral oil system having >=7cSt viscosity in the final finish rolling for producing the stainless steel foil. In addition, the butyl stearate is added at >=5% thereto to adjust the viscosity over the entire part to <=20cSt. Cold rolling is executed at 50m/min rolling speed and >=15% draft by using such lubricating oil and using the rolls of 25 to 40mm diameter adjusted to <=0.06mum surface roughness.
