HYPER TEXT CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DISPLAYING HELP INFORMATION DYNAMICALLY IN INTERACTION TYPE DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To enable a user to effectively and efficiently access selected help information by dynamically displaying a hypertext marker field and a hypertext marker. CONSTITUTION: The marker field of a selected link reference phrase that the user has selected is read out. Then a target module 30 relating to the selected reference phrase is displayed. A marker symbol '>' is stored or set in the marker fields 38 of selected link reference phrases for all modules 30 having the link reference phrase to the displayed module. Sequential operation is returned to right after the selected reference phrase so as to read the marker field that the user has selected unless a hypertext network 28 ends. In other cases, a hypertext marker '>' is erased with an input marker field 38 set to a blank when the hypertext network 28 ends.
