PURPOSE:To provide a porcelain having a thermal expansion coefficient of 110-130X10<-7>/ deg.C, applicable to head cores (Mn-Zn ferrite having a thermal expansion coefficient of 110-130X10<-7>/ deg.C) having high thermal expansion coefficients, having excellent slidability on magnetic media and used for the sliders of magnet heads. CONSTITUTION:A porcelain used for the sliders of magnetic heads, containing CaO and Fe2O3 having a CaO/Fe2O3 molar ratio of 45/55 to 67/33 as main components or having a compositional formula of Ca2Fe2-XAlXO5 wherein 0<=X<=1.2 and, if necessary, further containing at least one of ZrO2, TiO2, MgO, Fe2O3 and Al2O3 in a total amount of <=2wt.%. |
