ELECTRODE FOR BATTERY AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel electrode for a battery capable of quicker charge and discharge than the current one and provide its efficient production method. SOLUTION: An electrode for a battery has such a structure that many active material particles are individually held by a metallic electrode substrate which comes in contact with at least part of the surface of the particle and electrically connected to the substrate. The electrode is produced in such a way that active material particles at least a part of the surface of which is covered with a metal film are thermally sprayed, the metal film is melted to unite the particles, many active material particles are held individually and connected electrically to form an electrode substrate.
