PURPOSE:To prevent oxidation deterioration of a membrane and also to prevent increase of slime by intermittently adding a reducing agent to raw water in the case of adding an oxidizing agent to raw water and subjecting the mixture to membrane separation treatment. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus wherein a raw water feed pipe 1 provided with both a pipeline 2 adding H2SO4 or the like for regulation of pH and a pipeline 3 adding an oxidizing agent such as NaClO is connected to a reverse osmosis membrane separation equipment 7 via a pretreatment equipment 4 and furthermore an ion exchange equipment 10 is provided in a rear stage, a pipeline 14 is branched from a feed pipeline 13 for a reducing agent such as Na2SO3 fed to the equipment 10 and valves 15, 16 are provided to the midways of the pipelines 13, 14 and opening and shutting actuation of these valves is performed by a timer and the reducing agent is changed over and added. In other words, after adding the reducing agent to the equipment 7, the reducing agent is added to the equipment 10 in a short time and this operation is successively repeated. |
