PURPOSE: To make it possible to suppress the dirt due to the stuck ink to the surface of the blanket for the impression cylinder of a rotary press by forming the blanket of a support layer and a surface layer laminated on the support layer, and forming the uppermost layer of the surface layer of the cured layer of reactive polymethylsiloxane or the cured layer mixed therewith. CONSTITUTION: In the rotary press which attempts to improve the reproducibility of an image by mounting a blanket for an impression cylinder on the surface of the cylinder, the blanket is formed of a support layer and a surface layer laminated on the support layer, and the uppermost layer of the surface layer is formed of a cured layer of reactive polymethylsiloxane or a cured layer mixed with the polymethylsiloxane. The polymethylsiloxane represented by the formula I or II is used. The reactive polymethylsiloxane may be, for example, the mixture of acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer. When the reactive polymethylsiloxane is formed at the uppermost layer, it is preferably co- crosslinked with the surface layer. |
