发明名称 PRODUCTION OF HYDROPHILIC OLEFIN-BASE RESIN ARTICLE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce a hydrophilic polyolefin-based resin article such as a sheet for a battery separator by irradiating an article on the surface of which a specified substance is present with light. SOLUTION: An olefinic resin base material on the surface of which fine semiconductor particles are present is irradiated with light. The olefinic resins particularly desirably used are polyethylene and polypropylene. The fine semiconductor particles particularly desirably used are particles of titanium oxide. The fine semiconductor particles desirably used have a diameter of 0.01-1μm. Examples of the methods for dispersing and immobilizing the semiconductor particles on the olefinic resin include one comprising previously mixing and dispersing the particles in the resin to be formed into a fiber, a film or the like and, a method comprising embedding or adhering the particles in or to the surface of the article during or after molding. The wavelength of the light with which the article is irradiated is selected so that the band gap excitation of the semiconductor may be enabled.
