PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facial picture information converting device for synthesizing facial picture information with designated expression with applied arbitrary facial picture information. SOLUTION: An input and output control mechanism 100 receives the facial picture information with different expressions of plural persons, and normalizes each facial picture information by controlling a normalization processing mechanism 200. An expression generating mechanism 120 converts the normalized facial picture information into expression components, averages them for each expression, and stores them as the mean expression components. The input and output control mechanism 100 normalizes the applied facial picture information, and converts it into the expression components by the expression generating mechanism 120. The expression generating mechanism 120 converts the expression components of the applied facial picture information based on a difference between the mean expression components corresponding to the expression of the applied facial picture information and the mean expression components of the designated expression. Thus, synthetic facial picture information can be generated from the converted synthetic facial expression components.
