PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic recording material, and an image forming device using the material by which high image quality having an excellent gradation reproducibility of 256 gradations can be output without the missing of image at the time of transfer in such a high resolution as 400dpi and without the occurrence of pin holes on the photosensitive member. SOLUTION: In the recording material to be used for an electrographic image forming device having an electrographic photosensitive body in which the sum of the film thickness of the photosensitive layer and that of the protective layer is 15μm or less, the electrophotographic recording maerial and the image forming device using the material is made so that the flatness of the transfer surface of the recording material is 100 seconds or more, and also the surface resistance R1 of the recording material under the environment of temperature 25 deg.C and humidity 60% is as follows: 10<9> (Ω)<=R1<=10<13> (Ω).
