PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the slipping sound produced between a tire and a road surface can be measured. SOLUTION: In a method for measuring tire noise, tires 2R and 2L having different dynamic load radii r1 and r2 are supported on tire rotating shafts TC which are rotated at the same rotating speed and simultaneously brought into contact cylindrical drums 5 fixed on a drum rotating shaft DC which is set in parallel with the shafts TC and has a radius R. Then the shafts TC or the shaft DC is rotationally driven while the tires 2R and 2L are held in a state where their positions are restricted in the running directions and, at the same time, the slip ratio S which is the ratio sk(r1-r2)/(rl+r2)|of the difference between the dynamic load radii r1 and r2 of the tires 2R and 2L to the sum (r1+r2) of the radii r1 and r2 is set at >=0.05 and <=0.20. Therefore, slips can be caused between the tires 2L and 2R and drums 5 and the slipping sounds between the tires 2R and 2L and drums 5 can be measured.
