PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save trigger consuming energy without interfering with commutation and trigger a thyristor without retarding turn-off start timing of the thyristor, in such a circuit formation, for example, as current flowing through the thyristor commutate to the thyristor. SOLUTION: For example, in such a circuit formation mentioned above, this trigger device is provided with an on-off detecting means (a thyristor 5, a transistor 60 and so on) which detects the on-off signal of a thyristor 5 to output an detected on-off signal, and a trigger means (a transistor 60, a resistor 81 and so on) which is operated according to the detected on-off signal and continues to trigger a thyristor 15 as long as the on-off detecting means detects that the thyristor 5 is ON. It is thus possible to trigger the thyristor 15 together with triggering of the thyristor 5, continue to trigger the thyristor 15 while the thyristor 5 is ON, and stop triggering of the thyristor 15 together with commutation. |
