PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode active substance for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, in which a capacity is high, a charging/discharging reaction is sufficiently carried out even if an adding quantity of conductivity applying agent or a binder is small, and falling-off or peeling-off from a current collector can be prevented. SOLUTION: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a negative electrode active substance made of boron carbonitride fiber having 0.70 or more of orientation; a negative electrode in which the negative electrode active substance is bonded to a current collector; and a positive electrode in which a positive electrode active substance made of a material capable of storing or discharging lithium is bonded to a current collector; wherein the negative and positive electrodes are contained inside a battery jar together with a non-aqueous electrolyte via a separator. |
