PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance light utilizing efficiency and to simplify assembling and adjusting operation. SOLUTION: In the optical pickup device having a laser light emitting source 1, an objective lens 4 for converging a light beam 2 emitted from this laser light emitting source on a recording carrier 5, a hologram 3 for splitting reflected light from the recording carrier into ±1st-order diffracted light beams, photodetectors 8 and 9 for detecting these 1storder diffracted light beams respectively and a detector substrate 20 provided with these photodetectors on the surface, this detector substrate is mounted on a base substrate having a reference surface, and an opening hole part 22 is formed in the vicinity of the middle part of the detector substrate, and then the laser light emitting source is disposed in the vicinity of the center of the opening hole part, so as to make an emitting surface parallel to detecting surfaces of the photodetectors. Thus, by performing positioning adjustment of the detector substrate at its fitting time, high positioning accuracy can simply be established. |
