PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable submarine branching device. SOLUTION: For instance, one basic circuit is constituted by equipping a photocoupler 1 for turning a specified wavelength to the trigger of optical path changeover for input signals to an A input port 13, an optical filter 7, an optical switch 10 and the photocoupler 2 for branching main signals. The three pieces of the basic circuits of the same constitution are respectively mutually connected and the optical path switching function of three input/three output is constituted. In this case, optical switch control light transmitted by wavelength multiplex with the main signals is extracted by the photocouplers 1, 3 and 5 and the optical filters 7 and 8, the optical switches 9 and 10 are controlled by the presence/absence of the optical switch control light and an optical path among input/output ports 13-18 is switched. Thus, the need of loading E/O and O/E converters is eliminated and this submarine branching device is miniaturized. |
