PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make road traffic intelligent by laying plural self-emitting road signs, which are serially provided at intervals on the surface, shoulder or side of a road, so as to link them as input sources of traffic indications for an external traffic controller system or the input or output sources of data processing related to road traffic information. SOLUTION: A self-emitting road sign X is provided at least with plural light emitters 2 to perform light emitting operation while using a solar battery 5 (7), one or plural sensors 3 for detecting any specified target and its action or state, plural transmission/reception means 4 which enable bidirectional communication, and a control circuit 9 for driving or operating these components. Based on the detecting signals of the sensors 3, communication is performed between the adjacent road signs X at least and the light emitting operation is performed so as to enable turning-on, synchronous flickering or sequential flickering. |
