PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability for the operation of expanding and contracting a basket structure used in a catheter in which the end of a master catheter is formed into the basket structure capable of expansion and contraction. SOLUTION: A slave catheter 3 and a master catheter are connected end- to-end, and a plurality of strips 7a are formed at the end 2A of the master catheter by a plurality of longitudinally extending slits 7. The strips 7a are reinforced by a reinforcing material S having a greater elastic modulus than the material of the master catheter 2 and are designed to be capable of being expanded and converted in the form of a basket by the reciprocating movement of the slave catheter 3 in the longitudinal direction. |
