PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an audio unit that is remotely controlled from a rear seat of an automobile. SOLUTION: The audio unit includes an amplifier circuit 3 that emphasizes low frequency components of an audio signal, selectors 20, 21, 22, 23, and control circuits 9, 10 that change a DC voltage applied to amplifier bias input terminals of L and R channels. One sound volume adjustment variable resistor 32 changes a DC voltage of L and R channel control circuits. A control box 31 incorporates a peak level display LED 33, the sound volume adjustment variable resistor 32. A connection means consists of a modular connector for telephone indoor wiring and a cable 30.
