<p><PC>Methyl red-controlled pore glass (CPG) resin reagents of the formula XII <EMI ID=1.1 HE=57 WI=85 LX=681 LY=583 TI=CF> <BR> <PC>and intermediates of formulae XIII and XIV are provided <EMI ID=1.2 HE=123 WI=73 LX=765 LY=1433 TI=CF> <BR> <PC>are provided wherein CPG represents controlled pore glass, n is an integer between 3 and 8 (inclusive) and DMT represents a protecting group, for example a dimethoxytrityl group. The reagent of formula (XII) may be used to label oligonucleotides, eg to form a "molecular beacons" probe.</p> |
