PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive body having high sensitivity and superior chargeability by incorporating a specified styryl compd. as a charge transfer material. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body contains at least one styryl compd. expressed by the formula I as charge transfer material. In the formula, R1-R3 are H, alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic group in which the aralkyl group, aryl group, and the heterocyclic group may contain substituents; R1 may form a ring in combination with R2. X is a residue expressed by the formula II (l, n are integers zero-6; m is an integer zero-2); R4 and R5 are H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen atom; aralkyl group, aryl group, aryloxy group, acylkyloxy group, in which the aralkyl, aryl, aryloxy, and acylkyloxy group may have a substituent; Z is a heterocyclic group contg.
