SOLUTION: In a sorption cooler for cooling a substance in a container (4) by means of a sorption agent (11) in a sorption agent container (10), the sorption agent container (10) is coupled through a vapor valve (9) with an evaporator (8) generating working medium vapor. A part of the outer wall (1) of the container (4) comes into good thermal contact with a material (2) for storing the working medium. At least that part of the outer wall (1) of the container (4) also serves as a part of the boundary face (5) of the evaporator (8).
