PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic unit, an electronic unit system and a communication control method, which can change the performance/non-performance of commands issued from a plurality of units in accordance with the number of units connected so that they can perform communication and with the commands. SOLUTION: An HDD device 1 is connected to a device (initiator) corresponding to other IEEE1394 by an IEEE1394I/F part 9. An access right counter part 17 counts the number of units in the communicable initiator in accordance with an access request from the initiator. When a request processing part 19 interprets the command issued from the initiator, a command judgment part 21 decides whether the command instructs the operation of the HDD device 1 or not based on the number of units having access right and the instruction content of the command. The reading/writing commands of data are issued to the HDD device 1 based on the judgment of the command judgment part 21.
