PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocationically polymerizable adhesive exhibiting adhesive force and heat resistance in a short time, having a long pot life and easy to establish optimum conditions for photoirradiation intensity and photoirradiation time and to provide a thermally active, photocationically polymerizable liquid adhesive capable of maintaining transparency even when a filler in a large amount is added thereby permitting sufficient light to reach into the depth of the adhesive. SOLUTION: The thermally active, photocationically polymerizable liquid adhesive comprises a liquid composition comprising an epoxy group-containing compound (1), a hydroxy group-containing compound (2) and a photocationic polymerization catalyst (3), the molar ratio of the epoxy group to the hydroxy group present in the adhesive (epoxy group:hydroxy group) being (100:0.1) to (100:3), and further comprises 10-100 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of the thermally active, photocationically polymerizable liquid adhesive, of a transparent filler having a refractive index of 1.5-1.6.
